Here are some new pieces that I just finished for my Frogpeak show. I just got back from Scotland where I was working, selling, delivering and generally picking up some inspiration/big ups for future pieces. Straight back into deadline frenzy when I got back .. managed to get enough paintings together to fill the space. Life can resume now..

Following on with the kimono theme I've started to pull all my previous styles together. I adapted the black silhouette style for my lace pieces .. now there's no lace it can look a little plain on just the wood. More kimono print seems to be order of the day. Either way, I'll keep churning them out till I'm happy .. which may never happen what with the old tortured artist syndrome. In which case I'll keep studying tortured women. Cannae win, cannae lose..

After a busy summer I'm working on a new show. This piece has a Hitchcockesque feel to it .. I'm not afraid to dark it up a little now and again. More to follow...

After a couple of days of technical mishaps I'm back on track! It's good to have issues now and again, it teaches you fallibility as well as pushing you to work through it and be prepared for next time. I got the title piece of the show done as well as a little print that compliments it. I'm quite happy with them, she's a cutey.

Here are a couple of new pieces. I apologise for the bad photography, it 's never been my strong point. I took inspiration for the one with kimono in her hair from the silent movie era .. i love that she's dark and brooding. Those secrets are weighing on her mind! The other i kept super light and fresh. She seems to have been liberated of something.

These are new works from my upcoming show at Vadim Kristoffer's in Nelson BC, June 6th. I am quite happy with them, they are a bit of a departure from my usual lacey numbers but i am embracing change and it appears to be embracing me back.

In an attempt to become wildly rich and famous I have decided to embrace the opportunities that the internet has to offer. oh joy! It seems that closing myself off in my wee bubble has not been as lucrative as i had once hoped it would be. Manifestation, it seems, takes a little work. However, it did provide my with a little time which I spent creating all the lovely ladies that I'm going to share with you now...
